The Story Behind Undermarket.eu
Undermarket was born from a vision—a need to create a real home for street culture and independent sellers.
It all started with the founder, a long-time enthusiast of street culture, growing up in Copenhagen’s skateparks, absorbing the raw energy of graffiti, and flipping products on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Vinted, and Trendsales. He was deep in the resell and Grillz scene, working alongside MRL, the founder of MyrdCPH. The idea for Undermarket had been brewing for years—but the right moment hadn’t come.
The Turning Point
When a major Danish resell platform got bought out and shut down, it left an entire community of sellers stranded—including him.
There were two choices: let the market collapse or build something better.
And so, Undermarket was born. Not just as a business, but as a movement—a response to a broken system that needed change.
Built by the Community, For the Community
From day one, people came together to make it happen. Stickers were placed across cities, designs and artworks were contributed, commercial productions were made, and the word spread through social media. It was clear: this wasn’t just a platform—it was a cultural shift.
